On Wednesday, the BRIndex30 opened at 8,770.58 points and, after exhibiting a fluctuating trend throughout the market time, closed at 8,722.30 points with a negative change of -48.28 points, or -0.55 percent. It experienced intra-day high of 8,839.63 and low of 8,709.46 points.

The volume was 237,912,589 shares, which was 80.29 percent of KSE All Share and 109.82 percent of KSE-100 index. The volumes for KSE All Share and KSE-100 were 296,332,132 and 216,631,172 shares, respectively. BR Commercial Banks Index closed at 2,881.07, recording a negative change of -10.43 points or -0.36 percent and volume of 67,331,140 shares.

BR Technology and Communication Index closed at 647.00 with a net negative change of -5.01 points or -0.77 percent. Its volume was 42,972,448 shares. BR Oil and Gas Index closed at 2,250.95 points, recording a net negative change of -3.16 points or -0.14 percent.

The volume was 15,249,630 shares. BR Cement Index closed at 749.19 with a net negative change of -6.76 points or -0.89 percent, registering volume of 6,431,400 shares. BR Power Generation and Distribution Index closed at 1,600.12 with a net negative change of -16.32 points or -1.01 percent. Its volume was 5,855,664 shares.
